Job title: Software Quality Assurance Tester

Reporting to: Development Manager
IP Telecom are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Software Quality Assurance Tester to join our team. The ideal Software Quality Assurance Tester candidate should have the meticulous mind to follow test plans, and the curiosity and passion for figuring out how the software will be used by our customers. Based on a good understanding of our applications the Software Quality Assurance Tester will conduct thorough testing to uncover any functionality problems occurring during development and always with the end-user in mind.
Responsibilities for Channel Account Manager
- Design, maintain and execute test plans (manual and/or automated) for multiple applications
- Review software specifications and user requirements to gain understanding of new features or code changes
- Write and execute test cases affirming that any software changes work as expected
- Create end-user test scenarios specifically designed to reveal functionality and UX issues or corner cases where software is not functioning appropriately
- Document results of all testing and report bugs immediately to the software development team
- Build regression tests to manage wider system and application testing for releases
- Conduct post-release/post-implementation testing where required
- Participate in team meetings
- Assist with troubleshooting software issues
- Collaborate with developers, product team and other departments where required to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
Requirements
- Degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
- Knowledge of QA methodologies
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and regression testing
- Experience in building and executing test plans and cases for user acceptance and regression testing
- Experience with Jira, SQL and test management tools such as Zephyr Scale
- Knowledge of programming languages
- Graduate or 2-3 years' experience in QA testing
- Analytical, detail-oriented, critical thinker
